TWO PLAYS OF NORA
THEATRE VERTIGO
Teatteri Vertigo brings to Turku a performance that fuses Henrik Ibsen’s classic A Doll’s House (1879) with Sivan Ben Yishai’s contemporary work Nora: A Prologue (2022). This fresh dramatization of the two plays creates a powerful tension, weaving together past and present in a striking and unexpected way.
Two Plays About Nora dives deep into the structures of society, raising questions about equality, polarization, and the dynamics of power. Who gets to decide whose voice is heard? Who dictates how we should live? At the same time, the performance explores the complexities of human relationships—the fragility of love and the inevitability of certain decisions.
