Affections & Distractions is a performance practise project of Tuija Lappalainen and Essi Koivula, that celebrates sensitivity and diverse ways of being in the world through different performance forms and stage works. Their working methods are based on practices that center association, multiplicity and embodied experience.

The collective’s artists, Tuija Lappalainen & Essi Koivula, are drawn to tensions between affect, attraction and distraction — to alienations, glitches and errors.
